Two people dressed in what looked like Qwest uniforms showed up at my homes' door, after ringing door bell and knocking loudly. They were wearing ID badges, Qwest showing predominently, but in smaller type is CYDCOR, INC.

Two employees, one named Todd Hollister, explains they are there to advise that Qwest has 'construction' in the area and I ask if they cannot read the No Soliciting sign that is posted immediately below the door bell. Todd says they are not selling anything, just want me to know about the 'construction' where they are placing fiber optics to serve me better... which of course is selling. I asked if they were there to notify me that they were closing my road and that is their purpose for ignoring the No Soliciting sign.

The answer was they were just there to notify me of the 'construction' for fiber optics that would be available to better serve me.

After 3 attempts advising this man that he is violating the No Soliciting request I gave up. This is rude and disrespectful behavior and no business should either allow or instruct employees to ignor No Soliciting requests as posted on personal property.

the sad part is in training you arent allowed to walk away without " 3 Hard No's" its ridiculous and you are told to ignore soliciting signs because " they may have belonged to a previous owner"

this company is a joke! Working for them is even worse!! They lie, they cheat, the are crooks

Yes, insulting potential customers on a public forum is a PERFECT way to represent your company. I guess you guys must already know that anyone who is on this website was smart enough to do research on your company after you called them back 15 minutes after they submitted their resume to your completely vague job postings on monster.com/craigslist/careerbuilder.

So that means they are probably too smart to be caught up in your little scam anyway. So no harm, no foul, right?

haha, I sell people with No Soliciting signs all the time. You people only put them up because you hate life or you're highly impulsive.

Who takes time out of their day to complain about someone trying to make an honest living?

:cry God bless you though, I'll tell Todd you said hi. :grin

You can always tell which posts are from actual Cydcor employees; they are all so brain washed, they do not even realize they are part of a pyramid scam.

@ME soliciting is not just narrowly defined as "taking payment", to solicit is the act of making a request, application, or entreaty for support of something. Thus, intent of the solicitor is more important than whether they are taking monies immediately. For example, politicians SOLICIT votes when they campaign and stump.

These two "Qwest" chaps were apparently trying to entreat @balderdash for support or subscription to the "new fiber optics line"; definitely soliciting, and definitely ignoring the posted sign and engaging in bad biz practices.

Regarding your "respect on notification of road closure", it looks like from the original post they were NOT informing of road closure, just about the Qwest fiber optic cable. So, your respect rhetoric is invalid as the solicitors were not even notifying of any closures.

@ME, before you throw the book at someone please read it first. thanks.

SOLICITING- TAKING CASH OR CHECK. THEY DO NEITHER THEREFORE THEYRE NOT SOLICITING.

So are you mad at qwest for hiring them to tell you that construction is going? I THOUGHT THAT WAS CALLED RESPECT!

You would have been pissed if you weren't informed about the road closure I am sure. BE POLITE NICE TIME AND GET A DICTIONARY!
